Food and your thyroid - part 2



Unlike hypothyroid and its recommended foods, hyperthyroid has its own list of suggested foods and nutrients to consider. Hyperthyroid if left untreated may result in complications like heart problems, bone loss, or higher fracture risk. Certain food choices may benefit the condition by not contributing too much to thyroid hormone production. The table below shows some of the recommended and not recommended food items:



































Uncontrolled hyperthyroid may also lead to cause atrial fibrillation, a dangerous arrhythmia that can lead to strokes, as well as congestive heart failure.
